John realizes that the videos posted online by Sarah and Mark about the Mogadorian invasion have made him into a celebrity, the face of the resistance against the Mogadorians. The book is primarily narrated in first person, from the perspectives of Four John , Six and towards the end of the book, Ten Ella. Knowing the Mogs are coming to the school, John goes back to save Sarah. He's fallen for Sarah in the Lorien mate-for-life kind of way. Five continues to be both clueless and churlish, culminating in an evening where each of the Garde tells their stories.
Back at the base, John is helpless as he's dragged along the inside of the base, with Phiri mocking his failure at being a hero and his delusional idea of being able to save everyone. All the included stories can be found under these names: Six's Legacy, --- Nine's Legacy, --- The Fallen Legacies. Six books are planned in the series. There are going to be 6!!! This book might mot be my favorite but it was good enough to get me intrigued and curious to continue on and finish the rest of the books. Sam is getting migraines from the bunker's lighting, however is surprised when the light dims just moments after mentioning it.
The story shows the developing powers found in the young Loric, but also deals with regular teen age issues. On their way, they came across in a cell and John is happy to be reunited with her. Later, it is revealed that Sam has seen enough to arouse his suspicions, but John allays them by bluffingly 'admitting' to being an alien. The heroes are trying to get bystanders to flee. Water seems not to be as rare as we believe, but, apparently, the amount that is found on earth is rather immense. Sam remembers his dad had a Loric hideout in the backyard in a well, and they declare they must go back to Paradise to check out the well, despite the risks.
Only at the end, as expected, do readers get the all-out alien slug-fest. It is then followed by The Power of Six, The rise of nine, The fall of five, The revenge of Seven and The fate of Ten respectively. A quick battle between Six and Setrakus Ra, the leader of the Mogs, leaves Six in a rock cocoon. He shows them what he said, that Lorien is not a planet, but an entity, and that it can be awoken in Earth when their Inheritances are put in Calakmul. Most of the book is told in the first person by Number Four, who takes the name John Smith. The navigator is revealed to be , and he has decided to side with the Loric.
He finds Adam in Alaska with Rex in a prison camp with other Mogs who surrendered, John says he can break them out and he replies saying this is the best place for him to rehabilitate his people. However, Marina wakes up and levitates an icicle in front of Five's face, threatening to kill him. John mimicked this Legacy from. The book is told from the perspective of Number Four, also known as John Smith. He would have killed her, but Four prevented it. After getting the info about They Walk Among Us, Henri drives to Athens to find the writers on Thanksgiving.
We have lived among you without you knowing. John declares that they will seek out Adam if he is still alive. As the telepathic vision breaks apart due to the Anubis moving too far out of range, Ten tells Four to warn Six that Setrákus Ra is on his way to the Sanctuary and that they should flee. After however Adam deletes a post that Number Two was using to try and contact the other members of the Garde. Six attempts to save him but there's nothing there to telekinetically grab. She tells John she knows of no letter and the conversation ends.
Originally published as e-novellas, they are now together in one print volume. They learn that a group of Human Garde teleported to Niagara Falls, and are trying to find John and the others. This series made me fall in love with the Urban Fantasy and Science Fiction genre. She saves John from being possessed by a Mogadorian scout, and they are soon joined by Henri, Bernie Kosar, and Mark. He confronts Mark and his father and, after injuring the latter, physically forces the former to show him where John is hiding, whereby Mark takes them to the school, knowing it's Sarah's usual hideout. She and Five decide to escape.
An acidic black goo crawls down the chains and burns Sam's wrists, a pain only relieved by being touched by Setrákus Ra's oddly shaped golden cane. John stands up for Sam when they throw meatballs at them, but can do little to defend Sam when he comes to learn that Mr. The basic powers that they all possess is superior strength and incredible speed. Later that day, the Garde fly back to Niagara Falls with the aid of Canadian Special Ops. The Macrocosm shows Lorien's solar system and when another Garde opens their Chest, the solar system morphs into a microcosm of Earth, revealing the locations of the other Garde on Earth as long as their Chest is open. However, it only works on other Loric. However, Crayton warns that their successes in battle will alert the Mogadorian ruler, Setrákus Ra, to join the fight.
Sam notices John's hands are glowing in the woods, but John tells him that they are just gloves. John begins to attend Paradise High School, where he meets , a junior. During this process, John sees a vision of the last day on Lorien when the Mogadorians invaded, while Henri narrates. The novel has more action than the first as the premise in firmly established. I am Number Four: The opening novel in the series deals with the fourth of the Loric children in exile, John Smith and his protector Henri. John mimicked this Legacy from. Sanderson tells them that it is too late to prevent the invasion.
